'Supergirl': 'Midvale' Photos Released

The CW has released new photos for "Midvale", the upcoming sixth episode of Supergirl's third season.

The episode sees Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) go back Midvale for some much-needed time away from the stresses and heartbreak – Kara's loss of Mon-El and Alex's very recent breakup – they've suffered in National City. While the Danvers sisters are there, the flashback episode will explore their history and how the pair's close relationship evolved.

"Midvale" will see Kara recall a painful memory of a childhood friend's death and will show how that experience transforms Kara and Alex as sisters, but according to Leigh will also show how Alex having to face the reality of her breakup with Maggie (Floriana Lima," as Leigh explained at in a recent set visit.

"It's a really, really cool flashback episode, where you see kind of the initial dynamic between Kara and Alex, and how that was really difficult for them in the beginning. And sort of what the catalyst was for the turn in their relationship," Leigh said. "But at the same time, you sort of see Alex coming back and having to really figure some stuff out. But that's just the beginning of it."

Supergirl's sixth episode, "Midvale," directed by Rob Greenlea and written by Caitlin Parrish and Jess Kardos, will air Monday, November 13, 2017 at 8/7c on The CW.
