The Latest Supergirl, Flash, and Arrow Seasons Arrive on Netflix

Joining DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Riverdale, which had already made their way to the streaming giant, the latest seasons of The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl have arrived on Netflix as part of a deal with The CW.

Warner Bros. Television and The CW have been bringing many of their popular genre hits to Netflix less than two weeks after the finales air, a bit of a salve to fans stung by some titles that recently expired off the service and weren't renewed.

This week brought Supergirl season 2, The Flash season 3, and Arrow season 5, all of which wrapped up on The CW last week.

In season 2 of Supergirl, Kara finds herself falling for a Daxamite with a mysterious past, while a shadowy organization called Cadmus targets Supergirl in their attempts to rid the world of aliens once and for all. The two stories come to a head when an actual alien invasion happens, forcing everyone to re-evaluate their allies and priorities. Tyler Hoechlin guest stars as Superman, while Floriana Lima and Kate McGrath join the cast as Maggie Sawyer, a National City cop assigned to alien-related crimes, and Lena Luthor, heir to the L-Corp empire now that Lex is rotting away in jail.

The Flash's third season also had two separate, but related, major threats: After altering the timeline, creating the world of "Flashpoint" in which his parents were alive but the rest of the world suffered, Barry fixed things and returned to the present, only to find lingering changes to the timeline, many of which affected those closest to him. Previously-unseen villains, granted powers that matched characters from the Flashpoint, start to appear and eventually Barry learns that the power behind them is tied to the darkest and most dangerous speedster yet: Savitar, the self-proclaimed "god of speed." Tom Felton joins the cast as Barry's CSI supervisor Julian Albert, while Anne Dudek came in late in the season to join Team Flash in an unexpected role.

In the fifth season of Arrow, fans got to see the end of Oliver's "five years in hell," as the flashbacks pitted him against the Bratva and eventually sent him back to the island, where he could be found in the premiere. In the present-day story, Oliver found himself hunting (and being hunted by) Prometheus, a mysterious serial killer who seems to be obsessed with the Green Arrow -- and maybe even capable of staying one step ahead of the whole team. Juliana Harkavy joins the cast as Dinah Drake, the new Black Canary, while Rick Gonzalez came on board as Rene Ramirez/Wild Dog. The city got yet another new district attorney, this one with a long DC Universe pedigree, in the form of Adrian Chase, played by Josh Segarra, and action movie icon Dolph Lundgren came on board as Bratva chieftain Konstantin Kovar.

This also marks the first time Netflix users can enjoy The CW's three-night, four-show crossover "Invasion!" all together on the platform. Back in December, Supergirl traveled to Earth-1 so that she could team up with The Flash, Green Arrow, and the Legends to battle a race of alien invaders known as the Dominators, who were attacking Earth in order to get their hands on The Flash after his reality-altering time-travel behavior marked him as a potentially universe-wide threat.

Fans who don't have Netflix can catch the seasons on The CW app, or buy digital copies on services like Amazon, iTunes, and Vudu.
