Catwoman's Halle Berry Is The Biggest Fan Of Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman exceeded expectations and broke records when it premiered last month. In the process, it has garnered fans all across the pop culture landscape - including one of the most notable actresses to portray a female superhero.

Halle Berry, who played Ororo Munroe/Storm in four X-Men films, as well as the title character in 2004's Catwoman, recently praised the film during an interview with Yahoo Movies. While promoting her most recent venture into comic book-based media, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Berry exclaimed that she is officially a superfan of Wonder Woman's star, Gal Gadot.

"I'm like Gal Gadot's biggest fan right now." Berry revealed. "I was so proud of that movie and proud of her. And what that [movie] has done for women, it's palpable to me. Every woman I know is like 'Have you seen Wonder Woman?' It's the first thing out of their mouths."

While Berry's solo run as a DC Comics character was poorly received, the actress championed Wonder Woman's success - and what it means for female-led superhero movies going forward.

"It was beautifully done and well shot," Berry continued, "and Gal is the perfect representation right now for that kind of superpower."

Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action-adventure from director Patty Jenkins. The film stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), Robin Wright (General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hippolyta), David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Danny Huston, Ewen Bremmer, Doutzen Kroes, Samantha Jo (Euboea), Florence Kasumba (Senator Acantha), Said Taghmaoui, Eleanor Matsuura (Epione), Emily Carey (Young Diana), and Lisa Loven Kongsli (Menalippe).

Wonder Woman is in theaters now, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Flash, The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
