Gal Gadot On Wonder Woman's New Journey

After debuting in last year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman will return to theaters with her own solo film with Gal Gadot.
The movie will explore the character's origins as Diana Prince leaves the paradise island of Themyscira to stop Ares, the God of War, from hatching a diabolical plot in the midst of the Great War.
ComicBook.com's Meredith Placko had the opportunity to speak with the Wonder Woman star about her journey in the film and how Diana Prince adjusts to the modern world amidst one of the most devastating wars in history.
"I think it's… fascinating for her," Gadot said. "I think that she's so focused on her mission that she doesn't pay too much attention to everything… She knows that she—I don't know how much can I say—but she knows that she wants to stop the God of War and she'll do anything it takes."

Wonder Woman is aided on her journey by Chris Pine's character Steve Trevor, who guides her through the unfamiliar territory of the "real world."
"Even though she's the fish out of water, she adjusts really, really fast with the help of Steve Trevor," Gadot added. "And she's very, very much goal [oriented]."
Director Patty Jenkins could have a bonafide hit on her hands if the positive fan reaction translates to box office success. And a character like Wonder Woman is totally deserving of the success.
Fans have patiently waited to see Diana of Themyscira's journey toward becoming one of the world's greatest heroes.
We'll get to see the adventure when Wonder Woman debuts in theaters June 2.
