Wonder Woman Producer On The Film's Lack Of Deleted Scenes

Wonder Woman has rocked box offices across the world, surpassing expectations both critically and commercially, and became a groundbreaking success in just its opening weekend.

Director Patty Jenkins deserves a lot of the praise being heaped on the film, whether it's for her decision to tell an origin story, fighting for key scenes, and championing a tone of sincerity that many superhero films tend to abandon. But Jenkins certainly deserves a pat on the back for having such a clear vision all throughout the production phases that nothing was left on the cutting room floor.

Wonder Woman producer Charles Robin spoke to Collider about Jenkins film not having any deleted scenes, compared to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice having an entirely different cut with thirty minutes of extra footage.

"You know, I had made three [Batman] films with Chris Nolan, and we had no extra scenes either," Roven said with a laugh.

He added that there was some additional photography on the movie, "but it was all inter-scene."

"Things that we needed a little more clarification on, some action stuff that we thought we could do better with, things like that," he added.

Roven's comments clarify that even in the reshoot stage of production, Jenkins picture was still defined and thorough, needing only minor touches to make it more seamless. That's pretty impressive for a big budget feature film of its magnitude.

It's a statement film for Jenkins and after such an incredible success at the box office, the sky is the limit. We're excited to find out what project the director decides to tackle next, but hope it's not too long until she returns to collaborate with Gal Gadot for a Wonder Woman sequel.
