Wonder Woman's Patty Jenkins Reportedly In Line For A Massive Pay Raise

Following the huge box office success of Wonder Woman, diretor Patty Jenkins is reportedly set to receive a massive pay raise for the film's upcoming sequel.

Wonder Woman 2 is expected to film in 2018 for a 2019 release, and last month during Comic Con International in San Diego, DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed that Jenkins was returning to direct the second film.

Now Deadline reports that Jenkins, who likely earned between $1.5 million and $3 million on Wonder Woman, will probably get upwards of $10 million for the sequel.

The comparison they used was that Zack Snyder made $10 million plus a percentage of the profit on Man of Steel, which may have been the first film in the DC Extended Universe but was Snyder's third comic book movie for Warner Bros. after 300 and Watchmen.

Given not only Wonder Woman's success, but its role in revitalizing the embattled DC Extended Universe, the studio is likely to offer Jenkins a similar deal.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman will be available digitally on August 29 with a September 19 DVD and Blu-ray release.
