It's a big week for Nintendo Switch owners, as well as Wii U owners. More specifically, it's going to be a big weekend for Breath of the Wild players. For the first time since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launched in March, the game is getting some DLC that will shake things up in a huge way. DLC 1, "The Master Trials," drops tomorrow. If you think you've mastered Breath of the Wild's combat and varied enemies , you're about to get a chance to prove it.

"More adventures await in the Master Trials pack, available June 30. By completing the Trial of the Sword challenge, Link will prove that he has grown worthy, and the Master Sword will be awakened to always be in its glowing, powered-up state while usable. Master Mode ups the challenge, Hero's Path mode tracks 200 hours of footsteps on the map, the Travel Medallion creates a warp point, eight new armor items offer unique effects, and the Korok Mask helps locate Koroks.

"This content can only be obtained by purchasing the $19.99 Expansion Pass, which also includes The Champion's Ballad, the second DLC Pack that will be available this holiday season. Full version of the game is required to use this DLC." It mentioned outright, but unlike the DLC packs that came out for Mario Kart 8, there's no option to purchase the DLC individually.

If you're looking for something a little darker to occupy your thumbs this weekend, GoNNER also just arrived on the Nintendo Switch eShop for a cool $10.

"GoNNER is a tough as hell score-based procedurally-generated platformer with roguelike elements. GoNNER is also a story about friendship between Ikk, Death, and a space whale named Sally. You will die. A lot. This is by design, but it's not made to feel unfair. You'll eventually get the hang of GoNNER, so don't lose your head. But even if you do it's okay cause we have a lot of replacement heads you can use."

We hope it's raining wherever you live this weekend, because you're going to need a viable excuse to stay indoors all day. If you need someone to hang out with, come chat with us on Discord!
