Limited Edition Destiny 2 PS4 Pro Bundle Announced

07/10/2017 10:13 am EDT

Sony and Bungie are teaming up yet again for a limited edition, Destiny-themed PS4 bundle. Many of you are rocking your original Destiny white PS4s to this very day (I know I am), and if you've been waiting for an excuse to upgrade to a PS4 Pro, this might just be the bundle for you.

For $449.99, you're getting quite a bit of hardware and software here. This bundle will come with a glacier white PS4 Pro with a 1TB hard drive. You'll a matching white DualShock 4 controller and, of course, a copy of Destiny 2. Sony and Bungie are also throwing in the Destiny 2 expansion pass with this bundle, which will entitle you to the first batch of DLC which, if Bungie is following the Destiny content expansion pattern, will include two smaller DLC releases and an expansion. You'll also be granted access to some exclusive "premium content." What kind of content, you ask?

"To help you prepare for battle, all Destiny 2 players on PS4 will have access to bonus content before it is available anywhere else. You'll find a competitive multiplayer map, a three person co-op Strike, a new ship, specialized gear set and an exclusive exotic weapon." It almost doesn't seem fair for our Xbox brothers and sisters, but Activision and Sony have been pretty cozy for a while now, so this surprises no one.

And don't forget that you'll have a chance to get your hands on Destiny 2 very soon! The beta kicks off on July 21 (July 18 if you pre-order the game), and that beta will be absolutely packed with content. Players will have access to the first mission of the single-player campaign, two competitive multiplayer game modes and maps in The Crucible, a three-person co-op strike called the "Inverted Spire," and a chance to try out all three new subclasses!

We'll be checking out the Destiny 2 beta along with you guys -- look for me in the Crucible. In the meantime, you can look for me in the WWG Discord channel here, where we're always chatting about the games we're playing and the games we're looking forward to. Hop on and say hello!
