Overwatch's Doomfist Is Receiving Some Much-Needed Changes

Doomfist hasn't been in the best spot lately, but that'll hopefully change with all of the bugfixes and other plans coming soon for the latest Overwatch hero.

As the newest hero to join Overwatch's growing cast of characters, players have already gotten used to Doomfist, but his playrate still suffers. Some of this is the result of bugs that affect his abilities and overall gameplay, but that's the main area that the Doomfist update hopes to correct.

In a post within the Overwatch forums, principal designer Geoff Goodman outlined some of the changes that Blizzard pushed to the PTR for testing very recently as well as some areas that they're still looking into.

Things we're still working on

Outside of these changes, Blizzard is also looking into how some of Doomfist's abilities work when he's in the air and how two Doomfists interact when they use an ability on each other at the same time. More detailed bugfixes instead of general solutions will also be found in the next few patch notes, so look for the full Doomfist changes when those go live.
