This Pikachu Charger Has a NSFW Design

A new Pikachu charger is getting some attention for all the wrong reasons. Online retailer DH Gate is selling a USB charger modeled to look like the popular Pokemon mascot. While at first glance, the Pikachu charger looks legitimate, it becomes clear that it's definitely a knockoff with no actual connection to the Pokemon Company.

So why is this Pikachu Charger a fake? Well, Pikachu's proportions look a bit off and the ads for the charger don't feature any Pokemon logos or trademarks related to The Pokemon Company. But the big giveaway is where the charger connects to a USB cord. While Pikachu's ears serves as the charger's prongs, its butt serves as the USB slot where users plug in their cord.

That's right, Pikachu can apparently use its private areas to charge phones! The manufacturers of the device tried to tone down the rather NSFW imagery by showing he charger in action alongside an illustration of a Pikachu gently putting its ears into a wall socket, but fans quickly took to the Internet to laugh at how horribly designed the new charger is. At least there's an easy explanation as to why the Pikachu charger looks so angry all the time.

Sadly, there's not The Pokemon Company can do about this pretty hilarious charger. Knockoff toys and devices like this charger are common, and it's one of the reasons why Pokemon recently named the Chinese website Alibaba its official Chinese partner. Alibaba might not be able to stop the knockoffs entirely, but bringing in "official" merchandise can at least stop kids from thinking that Pikachu's electricity comes from its rear end.
