The Pokemon Company Teases Mysterious "Project Eevee"

The Pokemon Company is teasing a new "project" based around one of its most popular characters.
Earlier today, a new "Project Eevee" Twitter account stated in Japanese that it would make an announcement on November 21st. The tweet also clarified that it was an official Pokemon account - which likely signals that "Project Eevee" is some sort of game.
While we don't know for certain, we're guessing that "Project Eevee" is a new mobile game. The Pokemon Company has enjoyed a lot of success with various mobile games, ranging from the match-em game Pokemon Shuffle to the mindless fun of Magikarp Jump. The Pokemon Company also has a stake in Pokemon Go, although they don't have as much control over that project as several smaller mobile games.
The popular speculation among Pokemon fans is that Project Eevee could be a mobile Tamagatchi-like game - in which players train and care for Eevee within the app. Magikarp Jump had a similar function, although players cycled through Magikarp pretty regularly as part of gameplay.
As one of the cuter Pokemon, Eevee is popular even among casual and lapsed fans and its eight potential evolutions allows for plenty of variety. It also has a greater name recognition as one of the original 150 Pokemon and has even been a central Pokemon in spinoff games like Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.
We'll find out exactly what "Project Eevee" is tomorrow, so stay tuned for more details!
