The patch notes for Rainbow Six Siege's upcoming update have been revealed, a patch that introduces the free Operation Blood Orchid expansion and several new Operators.

Operation Blood Orchid has been teased and previewed several times leading up to the patch notes' reveal, so several parts of the patch should come as no surprise to Rainbow Six fans who have been keeping up with the game's news. Most players will undoubtedly be looking forward to the addition of a brand new map called Theme Park, a run-down setting in Hong Kong that definitely looks like it's seen better days. But in addition to the map, three new Operators are also being added.

The Operators in question are two Defenders named Lesion and Ela as well as a new Attacker named Ying. Ela is an Operator from Poland, but the other two Operators are both from Hong Kong to coincide with the theme of the expansion.

While the maps and the new Operators are the key changes that are shipping with the patch, there are plenty of other changes coming as well related to lighting, bugfixes, and other performance increases. The full patch notes can be read here via the game's site, but some of the big takeaways other than the Operators and map can be found below:

The upcoming patch for Rainbow Six Siege is scheduled to be released on Sept. 5
