One of the games we were most excited to see at E3 this year was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Sounds weird, right? But we were excited to finally see more of this game on the Nintendo Switch, and learn when we could finally get our hands on it. Unfortunately, Bethesda and Nintendo's presentations came and went, and we never got an official release date. Today, however, Amazon seems to be suggesting that Skyrim will finally launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 28.

If you head on over to the Amazon listing, you'll see everything set up all nice and tidy. We have a few promo images, and our Amazon Prime discount bringing the price down to $47.99. Everything looks okay at first glance, but there is some good news and bad news here. Let's start with the good news.

The good news is that November 28 isn't a typical placeholder date. A typical placeholder date will either be December 31, or the last day of the season in which the game is set to release. Skyrim is supposed to hit the Switch this fall, so if Amazon was going to post a seasonal placeholder date it would have made it December 20, since that's the last day of fall. November 28 is nice and random, and it happens to fall on a Tuesday, which is the day in North America when new games typically ship and arrive in stores.

The bad news here is that the listing does seem to have some random placeholder descriptions, indicating that not all of the information came from Nintendo. If you scroll down to the product description, this is what you'll read: "A true, full-length open-world game for VR has arrived from award-winning developers, Bethesda Game Studios. Skyrim VR reimagines the complete epic fantasy masterpiece with an unparalleled sense of scale, depth, and immersion."

Well, unless we missed a huge announcement, we're pretty sure that this has nothing to do with the version of Skyrim we're expecting on Nintendo Switch. This could just be a fluke, but it does have us a little on edge. Let's take the November 28 release date with a grain of salt before we hear officially from Nintendo. We'll be sure to keep you updated.
