Gamescom still hasn't entirely wrapped up yet (it officially ends today), but the Best of Gamescom awards have already been announced, and a certain mustachioed plumber has come out on top. Super Mario Odyssey also dominated the E3 Critics Awards, so expect some pretty stellar reviews later this year.

In addition to Super Mario Odyssey, which nabbed the overall Best of Gamescom award and the "Most Wanted" Consumer's Choice award, Assassin's Creed Origins, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and the Battlefield 1 expansion In the Name of the Tsar picked up key awards.
