Ubisoft is always bringing new ideas to the table, and today it revealed an innovative new first-person shooter from the developers behind Grow Home. Their new game is called ATOMEGA, and they're describing it as a retro arena shooter. Check out the announcement trailer above!
It appears that you and seven other players will begin each round as a simple cube. As you explore and collect other cubes you will continue to evolve into greater, stronger forms. Eventually you'll be strong and powerful enough to wage war on the evolving forms around you, with the aim of dominating them, breaking them down, and growing even stronger. In the trailer you'll see the godlike "OMEGA" form, which appears to be the apex of evolution and power.
"It is the very end of time. Reality dissolves like cotton candy in a puddle and all that exists are EXOFORMS, super advanced post-biological lifeforms; masters of matter and energy and the last, distant relative to man and machine. As the laws of physics slowly repeal the EXOFORMS fight for fun and dominance, replaying the final moments of the universe over and over in the last arena that will ever exist."

It looks pretty dope! You can find the Steam listing for ATOMEGA right here. The game will launch on September 19, but there's no word on pricing just yet, but the game is only a week away.
