Marvel Studios made a significant splash at this weekend's D23 Expo, teasing what to expect for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future. But according to Peyton Reed, there are plenty of surprises in store regarding the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp - starting with a new logo.

Reed recently revealed via Twitter that a 'final logo' for the 2018 film will be unveiled in the very near future.

This should surprise some fans, as a somewhat new logo for Ant-Man and the Wasp was displayed during the unveiling of Disney's film slate at D23. Nevertheless, it does mark a big step for the upcoming film, which is expected to enter production soon.

With the film's cast coming together, including new additions Hannah John-Kamen and Randall Park, its safe to assume that Ant-Man and the Wasp fans will get more than a new logo in the coming months.

In Ant-Man, forced out of his own company by former protégé Darren Cross, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) recruits the talents of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), a master thief just released from prison. Lang becomes Ant-Man, trained by Pym and armed with a suit that allows him to shrink in size, possess superhuman strength and control an army of ants. The miniature hero must use his new skills to prevent Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, from perfecting the same technology and using it as a weapon for evil.

Ant-Man was directed by Peyton Reed, with a screenplay by Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish and Adam McKay & Paul Rudd, and stars Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip "T.I." Harris, Anthony Mackie, Wood Harris, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, and Michael Douglas.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is again directed by Peyton Reed, with Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Farrari providing the screenplay and Adam McKay and Paul Rudd providing the story. The film stars Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly (Hope van Dyne/The Wasp), Michael Pena (Luis), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), T.I. (Dave), Hannah John-Kamen, and David Dastmalchian (Kurt).
