Earlier this year, Marvel fans had plenty to be excited about. Shortly after the New Year, work began on two hotly anticipated films: Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. The latter film has kept much of the limelight thanks to its massive scale, but Black Panther has been trucking along all the while. And, now, fans have been given their first official set photo from the movie.

Sadly, it's just a little underwhelming.

Earlier today, Walt Disney Company Korea gave fans a first-look at one of Black Panther's action sequences. A massive car chase sequence was filmed in South Korea in the port city of Busan. In the image, fans can see the Black Panther perched atop a car roof that's on a city road. Pedestrians can be seen walking along the sidewalks, and it appears as if the Black Panther is lying in wait.

The shot is taken from a much larger chase sequence which fans have gotten updates about. Black Panther will feature another car chase scene against the backdrop of the Gwangalli Beach area. The film also shot in other areas in Korea like the Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Marine City and Jagalchi fish market. Filming at the off-site locations will end this week.

As for why Black Panther chose to film in these locations, the film's director said it reminded him of his hometown. Ryan Coogler said in a statement that Busan's mixed of modern and traditional style made it a perfect shooting locale. "Busan is a place full of energy, where modern architecture and traditional buildings create great harmony against the backdrop of a beautiful beach," the director explained.

Black Panther follows T'Challa who, after the events of Captain America: Civil War, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T'Challa's mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira , Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. Additional cast members include Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, and John Kani.
