Though it remains without a director, we inch closer and closer the pre-production phase of Captain Marvel, the first solo property to feature Carol Danvers.
Thanks to Twitter user @AtlantaFilming, we've learned that the film bringing Danvers to the silver screen may begin filming in January 2018.
While anything is strictly a rumor at this point, January would seem in line with Marvel's prior productions as the film is slated for release on March 8, 2019.
Writer Nicole Perlman, who co-wrote Guardians of the Galaxy with James Gunn, has been tasked with penning the Captain Marvel script while industry insider Justin Kroll of Variety has said that Marvel is in no rush to tab a director as Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man & the Wasp will all be in production before the Captain Marvel process kicks off.
