The fandoms of Marvel and DC are continuing to butt heads when it comes to the film worlds, mainly because the critics seem to be leaning to one side.

It's no secret that the Marvel films have received a ton of critical praise over the years, while the DC films have been beaten down by many outlets. Because of the difference in reception, many DC fans have gotten heated about the topic, and tried to make their point that the DC films, like Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, are actually a much higher quality than they're given credit for.

A lot of the controversy regarding the movies has revolved around director/producer Zack Snyder. Those who haven't liked the DC movies blame Zack Snyder's imaginative mind and bold choices for the downfall. The fans of the movies however, think that Snyder is a visionary that should helm even more titles in the DC Universe.

In the wake of this disagreement, Snyder has received plenty of hate and backlash across all forms of social media. A prominent creative mind from Marvel has now come to the aid of Snyder, defending his filmmaking ability.

Steven DeKnight, who executed the first season of Marvel's Daredevil flawlessly, defending Snyder's work when talking to a fan on Twitter. After being asked if he thought Snyder got a bad wrap, the director had a strong statement.

This kind of respect and admiration is exactly what Marvel and DC both need right now. For fans to see the best minds on each side, would go a long way to helping everyone agree that both franchises have a great vision that stands apart from the other.
