Dave Bautista Discusses Using His Signature WWE Move In A Marvel Movie

There's a good chance that Dave Bautista is now known more for his portrayal of Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy than from his WWE days, a substantial part of his career before turning to acting. That said, Bautista will always have a soft spot for professional wrestling, but would the two ever converge?

Fellow wrestler turned actor Dwayne The Rock Johnson was able to fit in one of his signature moves into his hit Fast and Furious franchise when he performed a Rock Bottom on Jason Statham. ComicBook.com's Brandon Davis recently had the chance to sit down with Bautista at the Guardians press junket and asked if a Batista Bomb would eventually make its way to the big screen.

"But I've never really tried to carry over my wrestling into films. Ya know I think it would be kind of cool and it would be a nod to the wrestling fans which I'd be all for, but at the end of the day I wouldn't, I probably wouldn't request it, ya know because I just don't think it's necessary. If I felt like it would fit somewhere I would definitely say yeah let's do that, but otherwise, I would feel like it's just trying to squeeze the gimmick in, and I don't think Guardians needs the gimmick. We're too strong, the characters stand on their own, and I don't know if there would be room for it, but if they wanted to hell yeah I'd do it."

So why you won't see Thanos getting Batista Bombed through a table, Drax will play an important part in the villain's fate as part of a huge ensemble in Avengers: Infinity War. In the meantime, you can view the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 synopsis below.
