While 20th Century Fox has yet to officially confirm or deny, X-Men: Days of Future Past star Evan Peters seems to think that his character, Quicksilver, will be returning for the sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse.
When asked by I Am Rogue about whether or not he'd be returning, Peters said ""I think so, yes. I assume it as well, but I don't know what I'm supposed to say and not supposed to say…I haven't seen a script."
Peters went on to clarify that he no idea when production on the film might begin, saying "No. We'll see. I think...I don't know what I can say and what I can't say. All I can say is that I have not seen a script yet."
If Peters joins the cast, he'd be accompanied by other returning stars like James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. The cast has also grown to include new stars, such as Sophie Turner as young Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as young Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as young Storm, and the recently announced Kodi Smit-McPhee as young Nightcrawler.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to open in theaters May 27, 2016.
