Exclusive First Look At Steve Epting's Marvel Return In The Mighty Thor #13

Artist Steve Epting is making his return to the Marvel Comics universe, and ComicBook.com has your first look.

Epting will provide the interior artwork for The Mighty Thor #13, written by Jason Aaron and shipping into comic book stores this November. This will be the first full issue of a Marvel comic book that Epting has illustrated since he illustrated New Avengers in 2013 (though he did draw a short story in Secret Avengers #7 and has provided several Marvel variant covers in the intervening years).

In a statement provided to ComicBook.com, Epting expresses feelings about his return to Marvel Comics.

"I'm really excited to be working with Jason Aaron on a couple of issues of Thor," Epting says. "Thor is a character I've not had a chance to draw too often (this version in particular of course), and I'm having a great time with it. Russell Dauterman has done an incredible job with the look of this book, from character design to page layout , and I'm hoping to do justice to what he and Jason have created during my stay here."

The Mighty Thor #13 is the first part of a two-part story from Epting and Aaron. The story sees Thor seeking the aid of heroes from across the ten realms to stop Malekith's conquest. With the help of allies including Lady Sif and Angela, Thor has formed a new League of Realms intent on ending the Malekith's war, but first, they must venture behind enemy territory, into Dark Elf controlled lands.
