Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout Painting Gathers The Elders Of The Universe

Marvel fans would love to see the Grandmaster and the Collector on screen together, and thanks to Mission Breakout you can get the next best thing.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout experience is currently being constructed at Disneyland, and has fans go through the Collector's massive facility. Artist Ryan Meinerding shared one of the paintings that fans will see upon entering the facility, showing the Collector sharing a game of space age checkers with the Grandmaster.

"Here's the full Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout painting I did. It's on the wall in the lobby before you go off into the first little rooms. It was fun to create the scenario between the two and have so much of the story be told through their faces and expressions. I really enjoy painting faces and expressions. Benicio is great as The Collector and I can't wait to see @jeffgoldblum as the Grandmaster! #guardiansofthegalaxy."

Fans can plan on seeing plenty of other Marvel easter eggs throughout, but this has you almost wishing the two would meet up onscreen in some way. Who knows, maybe they will.

Mission Breakout takes place where the old Tower of Terror ride used to be, and you can see what the experience holds below.

Deep inside his fortress-like collection, the mysterious Taneleer Tivan (aka The Collector) is displaying his newest acquisitions, the Guardians of the Galaxy. They are trapped in customized display cases, suspended over a vast abyss. Unbeknownst to their unscrupulous captor, the intrepid Rocket has escaped and is enlisting the Collector's VIP guests for help. Guests board a gantry lift, which launches them into a chaotic and hilarious adventure as they join Rocket in an attempt to break his fellow Guardians out of captivity.

As for Grandmaster, fans can see him in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok.

In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – The Incredible Hulk!
