Iron Fist Official Artwork Revealed At NYCC

If you're one of the lucky attendees at this year's New York Comic Con, then you need to keep your eye out for Danny Rand. Marvel is playing up Iron Fist at the event in a big way, and to start, the company has decided to debut some official artwork depicting the martial artist.

A brand-new video has just been uploaded that shows a timelapse of Danny Rand/Iron Fist being drawn. The image can be found on an upcoming variant cover for an Marvel Premiere #15 that recounts the origins of Iron Fist.

The footage kicks off and shows the character being penciled in. Artist Jay Anacleto is the man responsible for giving fan's this sneak peek preview of Iron Fist and his dragon tattoo. The iconic symbol is featured in the center of the hero's chest, and Iron Fist can be seen in a basic martial arts pose. Behind him are slow-motion imprints of Iron Fist doing various poses, and the background features posters with what appears to be Japanese script.

Moving forward, the video shows the image being colored thanks to Romulo Fajardo. The vivid color scheme and on-point highlights do wonders and clearly makes Iron Fist jump off the screen. And, what's more, the colorist even gifts the hero with glowing chi as seen in his clench fist. You can check out still images of the artwork in our photo gallery below.

This artwork reveal is one of many updates fans have gotten about Iron Fist this month. Ahead of NYCC, Marvel Television teased fans with an announcement trailer which confirmed the show would air on March 17, 2017. The video also came with a first-look photo of actor Finn Jones playing Iron Fist in what looks like an intense fight sequence.

In Marvel's Iron Fist, Danny Rand returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting his world around him with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

The cast also features Finn Jones ("Game of Thrones") as Daniel Rand/Iron Fist, Jessica Henwick ("Game of Thrones," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens") as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup ("The Following") as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey ("Banshee") as Ward Meachum, as well as a guest appearance from Carrie-Anne Moss ("The Matrix") reprising her Jessica Jones role as lawyer Jeri Hogarth

Marvel's Iron Fist will premiere on Netflix in March 17, 2017.
