Marvel revealed the cover for Venom #6 via Twitter. The issue is written by Mike Costa with art by Gerardo Sandoval and will precede the giant Venom anniversary issue, Venom #150. In an interview with ComicBook.com in December, editor Nick Lowe teased that the issue will be a reunion of past Venom hosts.

"We definitely want to touch base on all the major Venoms, that's for sure," Lowe said. "For those wondering how the Symbiote and Flash get separated, that question will be answered in Venom #150. Mike's idea to bring Mac in was really, really cool. We basically wanted this to be the place for Venom fans to get everything."

The Venom symbiote is currently attached to a brand new host, a ruthless criminal named Lee Price. In a reversal of the usual Venom formula, the symbiote is the prisoner in the Venom relationship. Having spent so much time bonded to war hero, Avengers, and Guardian of the Galaxy Flash Thompson the Venom symbiote wants to remain a hero. That's something that Price will not allow, and the symbiote is currently too weak to survive without a host.

As of his most recent appearances in the Carnage series, Eddie Brock has bonded to the symbiote called Toxin. It is unclear what his return as Venom will mean for Toxin or Lee Price.
