Watch The First Episode of 'Marvel's Spider-Man'

Marvel just debuted a brand new Spider-Man series on Disney XD and now you can watch the series premiere online.

The new animated series Marvel's Spider-Man is taking a back-to-basics approach similar to what was featured in Spider-Man: Homecoming, with a young Peter Parker still in high school as he learns that great power comes with great responsibility. Click here to watch the series premiere!

The synopsis for the first episode says:

Peter is accepted into Horizon High: a school for geniuses, where his best friend Harry Osborn was just suspended. Peter makes his debut as Spider-Man and must battle the Vulture.

The episode begins just two weeks after Peter was bit by the radioactive spider that resulted in his superpowers, so he's still pretty new at the hero business. He even dons a costume similar to the homemade outfit featured in Homecoming.

It also features Liz Allen and the Vulture in key roles, but other than those two characters the series is a little bit different from the latest Marvel Studios movie. It also features Harry Osborne, Robbie Robertson, Alistair Smythe as Peter's classmates at Midtown High.

But it also contains some elements from the recent comics from Dan Slott, including Max Modell and a modified version of Horizon Labs called Horizon High.

Most surprisingly, Miles Morales and Anya Corazon are students at Horizon High, meaning we are likely to see Spider-Girl and the other Spider-Man featured in the new series.

All in all, it's a great successor to the popular Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, and one that will likely be running for years to come.
