Ryan Reynolds Wants A Deadpool/Wolverine Movie

The last time Ryan Reynolds starring in a movie with Hugh Jackman, things didn't go so well. The two were stars in X-Men Origins: Wolverine years ago, but the film failed to impress either fans or critics. The superhero blockbuster struggled to find an audience, and its unrecognizable depiction of Wade Wilson was enough to make any Deadpool fan livid. However, the tide has since turned for the actors as Reynolds has now successfully revived Deadpool and Jackman has filmed his last Wolverine flick.

Still, it doesn't look like one of the stars is ready to give up on the other. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds said he wants to make a Deadpool/Wolverine movie.

"I want Deapdool and Wolverine in a movie together," Reynolds said. "What we're gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I'm going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line."

"Hugh Jackman is one of the best human beings. Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire but I genuinely love the guy."

Of course, fans have known that the two actors share a friendly bromance for awhile now. Earlier this year, Reynolds flaunted the friendship shortly after the first trailer for Logan, the final Wolverine film, hit the Internet. The actor took to Twitter, writing, "Inject this film directly into my face immediately."

And, not long ago, Jackman and Reynolds swapped some snarky jokes via Twitter after a fan tweeted the former a piece of art she drew of the actors. Jackman told the young fan, "Awesome artwork though feel it would be better if [Ryan Reynolds] weren't (always) lurking my shadow." The fan-art does show Deadpool hanging behind Wolverine, so some may dare say the mouthy merc is hanging on the grumpy mutant's coattails.

Reynolds then responded to Jackman's tweet later with the following message: "I'm not lurking in your shadow. I'm caressing its soft, shadowy fur."
