What would the Marvel Cinematic Universe be like without Nick Fury?
Well, we might just find out in not too long. According to an interview with actor Samuel L. Jackson, he has only two movies left on his Marvel contract before he has to either renegotiate, or walk.
Asked by IGN whether there would ever be a time when he would stop playing the role, Jackson responded, "Yeah, I've only got two more movies in my contract. [Laughs] That might be the end of it, unless I get an extension."
He then agreed with the interviewer, who said he hoped not, and that they were still "waiting for the Nick Fury movie."
Jackson can next be seen in Kingsman, an adaptation of the Mark Millar/Dave Gibbons comic book The Secret Service.
His next Marvel role will be in Avengers: Age of Ultron, due in theaters in May.
