New X-Men Series Casts Incorporated Star In Lead Role

After the news of Stephen Moyer joining the Untitled X-Men show from Fox broke last night, it was only a matter of time before another casting decision was announced.

Stephen Teale, star of the recently-cancelled Incorporated, was just revealed to be the other lead in the series.

Deadline broke the news with the following character bio:

Teale will play Marcos Diaz/Eclipse. A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe. Teale also joins previously cast Blair Redford and Jamie Chung.

The cast has now grown to four, and the show seems to be shaping up. Knowing the X-Men however, there are probably plenty more casting decisions on the way.

The X-Men pilot is being written by Matt Nix and directed by Bryan Singer with a script that focuses on two parents who discover their children are mutants. The family then has to go on the run and joins an underground network dedicated to saving mutants.

If the series has its pilot green-lit, it would be the second X-Men series to hit cable in recent years. Not long ago, FOX premiered Legion to critical praise, and the trippy mutant series has continued to garner traction from fans.
