Gaunt
One of Silver & Black's villains is said to be Mendel Stromm, but fans will know the man by the moniker Gaunt. The baddie is one of Spider-Man's oldest nemeses as he debuted back in 1966. Gaunt is known for his mad science, and he was brought in for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man to develop the formula that turned Norman Osborn into the Green Goblin. In the comics, Gaunt's work brought him into contact with Silver Sablinova as his experiments led him to treat her Symkarian people as lab rats. So, it is not out of the question for Silver Sable to be in search of revenge.
Tarantula
Fans may not get Spider-Man in the Sony spin-offs, but they will get one arachnid goon. Anton Rodriguez is expected to bring Tarantula to the big screen with Silver & Black. Known as an extremist member of a South American terror cell, Rodriguez is a lethal martial artist whose skills with blades are unmatched. Currently, reports suggest Tarantula will be sent to kidnap Felicia Hardy for Gaunt, and his part is expected to be a small one.
Scorpion
MCU fans will recognize the next villains expected to appear in Silver & Black. Mac Gargan is said bring the Scorpion to the spin-off, and the suggestion has got fans wondering about the particulars of Marvel's contract with Sony. The villain's role is said to be very small and work towards advancing the Scorpion's role as a baddie within the MCU. That Hashtag Show reports Gaunt will give Gargan the exo-suit the Scorpion wears in the comics, and he will return for a climatic fight at the film's end.
The Chameleon
It looks like Silver & Black will be bringing one of Spider-Man's OG villains to the table. Having debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #1, the Chameleon is said to have a role in the Sony movie. Reports suggest the villain will be Silver's go-to information broker as she searches for Black Cat in South America.
Tombstone
Marvel fans may be surprised to see this villain's name crop up, but Lonnie Lincoln is set to debut the Tombstone with Sony's film. The gangster is described to be on the hunt for Black Cat after the burglar steals something from him. That Hashtag Show reports the Tombstone will don his trademark look in the movie, and his role will be a rather short one as Felicia will deal with him with her fists.
More Silver & Black News
Gina Prince-Bythewood, writer and director of The Secret Life of Bees, will direct the Marvel spin-off. Sony has aptly titled the film, Silver and Black. Chris Yost (Thor: Ragnarok) and Lisa Joy (Westworld) will oversee work on the script.
The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017, while Venom currently has an October 5, 2018 release date. The Animated Spider-Man Movie debuts on December 21, 2018, and the rumored Silver Sable and Black Cat films have no release windows.
