After seeing Spider-Man: Homecoming, suits were the talk of the town.

Many Marvel fans went on and on about the tech-heavy suit that Peter used in most of the movie, and how Karen (Jennifer Connelly) totally stole the show. One the other hand, there are a lot of fans still smiling over that homemade suit that Peter was forced to use in the third act.

Tom Holland and Zendaya Are Reportedly Dating

Ryan Meinerding, concept artist and head of visual development for Marvel Studios, shared an photo of some early concept art for this suit, and it's great to see how the style changed by the time cameras were rolling.

In the Instagram photo, Meinerding began talking about the way Spider-Man influenced him as a young man, and how the homemade suit was a big reason why he fell in love with the character.

"There were a few attempts but when I was 17 years old, using my moms sewing machine and fabrics from JoAnn store. I made my own Spider-Man mask. Peter Parker could be any one of us. That's one of the reasons why Spider-Man is one of the coolest superheroes of all time. Even at 17 years old I still felt like I could be Spider-Man."

The post went on to praise Tom Holland's performance as the web-slinger, and to say that the design of the suit was based on the original Scarlett Spider by Tom Lyle. Meinerding also stated that he was going for a Todd McFarlane look with the eyes.
