Stan Lee Cancels Another Appearance Due to Health
03/17/2017 09:18 pm EDT
Stan Lee will not be attending Salt Lake Comic Con's FanX event this weekend. The 94 year old comics creator was originally scheduled to attend a panel and sign autographs for fans, but he dropped out due to an undisclosed health issue. While this was supposed to be Lee's last appearance at Salt Lake Comic Con, the convention announced his appearance had been "postponed" while he recovered.
Lee also missed Big Apple Comic Con last weekend due to the same health issue.
In a statement posted to their Facebook page, Salt Lake Comic Con explained that Lee's doctor recommended that he stay at home and recuperate rather than "risk getting worse."
Lee has recently slowed down his busy convention schedule and has announced several "last appearances" at other conventions, including NYCC and C2E2. After all, Lee is 94 years old and it can't be easy maintaining a grueling convention schedule with lots of travel.
All the best to Stan, and here's to a speedy recovery!
