Thor: Ragnarok Won't Feature The God's Lucious Locks For Long

06/20/2017 12:23 am EDT

The first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok promises a rollicking, high-stakes journey through Asgard, Midgard, and beyond as the God of Thunder comes face to face with Hela.

And while the tease offered many wonderful, intriguing scenes, it also featured a devastating moment that fans of the character might be shocked to see — a moment where Thor lost one of his greatest tools in the war against evil.

After sticking with the character throughout every Marvel Studios appearance, it's unbelievably been forcibly taken from him.

Of course, we're talking about Thor's hair.

The trailer hinted at the scene in which his precious mane is cut off, indicating that it's almost like a ritualistic process for those who battle in the Grandmaster's fighting pits. But some fans have wondered how much time Thor has left with his wonderful hair?

While speaking at his spotlight panel at the Supanova Comic Con in Sydney, Australia, actor Chris Hemsworth indicated how long Thor will be able to cherish those locks in Thor: Ragnarok.

So while it doesn't seem like a long time we hope that Hemsworth and the God of Thunder enjoy their time with the hair. Some things never grow back.

Oh, Thor also loses Mjolnir in the upcoming film, but really that pales in comparison to his wonderful, wonderful hair. That's the true blow here.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters November 3.
