X-Men's Lana Condor Would Like To Revisit Jubilee Once More

The fate of the next X-Men film, rumored to be under the working title Teen Spirit, is relatively up in the air. But one star of 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse has voiced her desire to appear in the sequel.

Lana Condor, who played the mutant Jubilee in the film, recently shared a piece of fanart of her character on her Instagram account. In it, she proclaimed that she misses playing the character, and wants to "hang again soon."

While this caption is a relatively vague indication that Condor wants to reprise her role in Teen Spirit, it will certainly come as a welcomed piece of news for fans of Jubilee. The character has become a fan-favorite in the years since her initial comic debut, particularly thanks to her involvement in the X-Men animated series of the 1990s.

Condor's initial casting in Apocalypse was met with a generally positive response, only for the character to have very little screentime in the movie. Part of this was due to Jubilee's fellow mutant classmates - such as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler, Scott Summers/Cyclops, and Jean Grey/Phoenix - being a large part of the narrative focus of Apocalypse, as well as the film's ensemble cast being large in general.

In the past, Condor has expressed interest to return to the role. In September, she spoke to CBR.com about the possibility of her being in a future sequel.

"I've only heard rumors about all that. I think that probably the people who hired me wait until the very last minute to tell me anything — for this very reason! But I would love — if they were to have more X-Men movies, I'd love to. And if they were to have me in it, I'd love that. I've heard a little about New Mutants, like reading the blogs, but I know all that is talk right now and stuff, but that'd be cool too."

Fans anticipating seeing more of Jubilee and Condor will just have to wait and see how exactly Teen Spirit unfolds.
