Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista may have just let a big secret slip concerning his next major comic book movie role.

When asked by a fan on Twitter, Bautista seems to have confirmed that he is working on a movie adaptation of the Valiant Comics character Eternal Warrior. Check out his tweet below.

If that wasn't enough confirmation, Valiant's chief executive officer and chief creative officer Dinesh Shamdasani chimed in, offering a half-joking non-confirmation of what Bautista seemed to be hinting at.

Here's the Tweet from Shamdasani:

The Eternal Warrior is one of three immortal brothers who exist in the Valiant Comics universe. Here's a description of the Eternal Warrior and his mission from the 2015 Valiant Comics series The Valiant:

The Eternal Warrior has protected the Earth for more than 10,000 years. A master of countless weapons and long forgotten martial arts, he is guided by the Geomancers – those who speak for the Earth. During his long watch, the Eternal Warrior has failed three times. Each time, the Geomancer was killed…and a new dark age for humanity began. Each time, he was unable to stop The Immortal Enemy – a monstrous force of nature. A civilization killer. A horror that appears differently each time it arrives…and whose seemingly only purpose is to bring disorder and darkness to the world. Now, the time has come for The Immortal Enemy to return once more. But, this time, the Eternal Warrior will be ready.

Bautista has certainly proven he can play a formidable warrior through his role as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. A former professional wrestling superstar for the WWE, Bautista has since transitioned into acting full-time. In addition to playing Drax, Bautista has had roles in The Man with the Iron Fists, Riddick, Spectre, L.A. Slasher, Kickboxer, and Kickboxer Vengeance. He is also set to appear in next year's Avengers: Infinity War.

This news follows the rumors that Jared Leto is circling the lead role in Valiant's Bloodshot movie.

Valiant has already announced a partnership with Sony Pictures to bring five movies based on Valiant Comics character to the big screen. Bloodshot and its sequel make up two of those movies, with Harbinger and its sequel making up another two. Those two series are planned to collide in the fifth film Harbinger Wars, based on one of Valiant's biggest event storylines.

A Shadowman movie is also currently in the works, with Reginald Hudlin set to direct.
