Deadpool entered the top 50 highest-grossing movies of all time at the North American box office on Saturday.
The film, which passed $300 million yesterday, currently sits at #48 all time, having passed Return of the Jedi, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and Independence Day, among others.
With this weekend's totals, Deadpool has grossed over $311 million at the domestic box office.
The film has earned $100 million more than the lifetime theatrical gross of 300, the former highest-grossing R-rated comic book adaptation of all time.
Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
