New Beauty & The Beast Photos Released

The newest images from Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast give fans their best looks at Dan Steven's Beast and Luke Evan's Gaston.

The images are in the latest issue of Total Film (via GamesRadar), and reveal one section of Beast's rundown castle. He can be seen standing next to Belle (Emma Watson) in one of the untouched rooms, lit only by the lone window's light. You can see what looks to be an easel, a bed in the corner, and a crib, meaning that this could have been his room as a child. The second photo shows a close-up of the Beast with a rather grimaced look on his face.

The second set of photos features Luke Evans as Gaston in a scene most will recognize from the original. He's inciting the crowd to storm the Beast's castle. For those who remember the over the top character from the animated classic, you'll recognize this version as well, as Evans says "We didn't tone [Gaston] down. I think we did the opposite. Everything he does, he does extremely. There was no point trying to find a way to tone it down."

You can view the new images in the gallery. Total Film goes on sale January 17.

Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle's eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston's long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Beauty and the Beast will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.
