Ever since the first Spawn movie came out in the late 90s, fans have been clamoring for some sort of followup.

Now series creator Todd McFarlane is ready to announce a new project featuring everyone's favorite Hellspawn, set to rock Spawn-fans worlds tomorrow.

McFarlane posted to a pre-announcement to his Facebook page saying that a new developments regarding a Spawn movie would be formally announced on Friday at 2pm Pacific Standard.

"I'm going to be streaming it live on Facebook here," McFarlane announced, giving everyone who isn't at San Diego Comic-Con the chance to hear the news too. "Be there or be square!"

Many different variations of the Spawn movie have been in development over the last few years.

The comic property has spawned (we're sorry) an original movie and an animated series, but that first adaptation starring Michael Jai White is the most successful to hit screens.

We're excited to learn more about McFarlane's announcement, to find out who is helming the project and what medium it will debut on.

Stay tuned to learn more about Spawn.
