Hollywood's Arclight Theater experienced technical problems during a screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens last night which, once resolved, caused a major plot point in the film to be spoiled for the audience.

After a projector malfunction during a 3D screening of the latest Star Wars film, Arclight resumed the film toward the end, spoiling a major scene.

"Projector at Star Wars midnight 3D show at the Arclight ruined, stopped, then started again towards the end of the movie," Erik Melendez wrote on Facebook (as quoted by THR), accompanied by the video he captured of fans in the theater yelling. "The movie was spoiled and everyone in the theater went crazy."

Fans took video and uploaded it to social media, which you can see below (spoiler warning on, of course).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015, kicking off a new trilogy of Saga films as Episodes VIII and IX are already scheduled.
