The future of Warner Bros.' big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's It may be in doubt after a bunch of movement in recent days, but as long as the project is still alive, there will be those who want to know what the original cast of the 1990 TV miniseries that helped make the novel one of King's most recognizable.
Of particular interest is Tim Curry, who played Pennywise the homicidal clown in the series. Curry made a rare public appearance recently to accept a lifetime achievement award for his work on stage, and of course was asked about the troubled production.
Curry wished "good luck" to incoming Pennywise Will Poulter during a Moviefone interview, deflecting the interviewer's suggestion that Curry's now 25-year-old performance would be difficult to top.
Curry had been mentioned in nearly every article when Poulter was cast; while the made-for-TV It had left a bit to be desired, nearly everyone loved Curry's performance.
