Amy Schumer Shares Emotional Post In Honor of Screen Mom Goldie Hawn

In the '70s and '80s, Goldie Hawn was one of the most sought-after actresses in the world of comedy. Films like Private Benjamin, Overboard, and Bird on a Wire showed audiences that Hawn was far more than just a pretty face, but a comedic force to be reckoned with. Despite her roles getting fewer and further between in the '90s and '00s, Hawn has teamed up with Amy Schumer for the upcoming film Snatched, an experience that clearly left a huge impact on Schumer.

In Snatched, Schumer plays an impulsive and recently single woman who manages to convince her mom, played by Hawn, to accompany her on a trip to Ecuador. While there, the two get kidnapped, and while trapped in confinement together, learn to embrace one another for their differences. The film was written by Kate Dippold, who wrote last year's Ghostbusters and the Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy-starring The Heat.

In Schumer's post, she showed a loving embrace between herself and Hawn, and since she mentioned it was the last shot, this must have been a powerful moment between the two.

Schumer proved her comedic chops through a variety of TV shows but her breakout hit was Trainwreck, a film she wrote and also starred in, about a woman in her 30s who was considering leaving a life of singledom behind when a new suitor comes around.

Considering Schumer and Hawn's track records, Snatched is poised to be one of the biggest comedies of the year and could hopefully lead to a return to the spotlight for Hawn.
