Archer Season 8 Trailer Goes Classic Detective Noir

A new Archer season 8 trailer has been released online!

The new season will be a period piece (phrasing) that invokes 1940s and '50s detective Noir films. In this full-length trailer, we get a better idea of how the supporting cast (Pam, Cheryl, Cyril, Lana, Krieger) all get re-imagined in the Noir setting - plus, a loose sketch of the larger case Archer is working during the season.

Besides some meta humor about the time period (and all its foibles), we'll get some nice movie references (like that Back to the Future moment with Ray), plus the return of some nice frienemies like Len Trexler (Jeffrey Tambor) and Archer's nemesis, Barry Dillon (Dave Willis).

The only thing we're wondering is how the rug will eventually get pulled out from under us on this. The season is called "Dreamland" - you almost have to expect that we'll get some ironically cheesy "It's all a dream" reveal by season's end...
