Arrow's Stephen Amell Suffers Minor Jaw And Tongue Injury While Training

Stephen Amell is making sure he is tip-top-shape for his WWE SummerSlam match versus Stardust, but during his training session this morning the Arrow star injured his tongue and jaw. The injury isn't serious, however, it has given Amell a temporary Sylvester the Cat-like lisp.

"Facebook, hello," Amell greeted his loyal fanbase. "Super fired up this morning... I was training, I was doing a snatch-pull-curl... I don't know, with a bar. I snatched it so hard that it literally cracked me in the jaw, right here (points to lower-jaw then sticks his tongue out—giving multiple angles). And both my molars, indented into my tongue. I'm okay. I'm just waiting for some ice at the moment. Ice it down, take the swelling of the tongue away. Hopefully get back to speaking in a more normal voice. I'm very excited to loop my lines on Arrow today, because I don't think I necessarily sound like me. Nothing like ringing your bell first thing in the morning."

Listen to Amell's comments in the video below.

Watch SummerSlam, a special four-hour event, live and only on WWE Network Sunday, Aug. 23, at 7 ET/4 PT.
