When you think "period piece about F. Scott Fitzgerald," your mind probably doesn't automatically jump to "sexy naked actress," but all of that's about to change. Thanks to Christina Ricci and the Amazon Prime series Z: The Beginning of Everything, you'll make a stronger connection between the star of The Addams Family baring all and the writer of The Great Gatsby. In the series, it might look like the actress dared to bare all, but based on an Instagram post she made last summer while the series was filming, it appears as though Ricci opted to wear a specific, and weird, article of "clothing."

Considering the placement of the two wigs on the styrofoam head, it would be easy to assume the lower "wig" would be a fake beard, but based on the fact that Ricci went completely naked in one scene of the new series, we now know exactly where those wigs were worn.

In one scene of the new series, Ricci's character, Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald, took some sexy measures to grab the attention of her husband. The scene called for her to be wearing nothing but a pair of heels, but the 36-year-old opted to wear a wig that acted like bikini bottoms to cover up her modesty.

"I almost don't feel like it isn't fully nude because the merkin is kind of like wearing a bikini," revealed to Yahoo Style. "I don't know that I would ever go just full on vag. I feel like I'd have to do underwear.

In addition to the hair piece, Ricci took other preparations to get ready for the scene. "I just make sure that they shoot it first thing so that I can eat afterwards," she joked. "I've done a lot of nude scenes in my life and I feel like at this point, it's no secret what I look like naked. You can Google me."

This isn't the first time the actress has taken on revealing roles, and considering how comfortable she sounds with her body, it probably won't be the last.
