Comic Book TV Show Fall 2016 Power Rankings: Week 10

12/03/2016 12:02 pm EST

2) Westworld

Last Week's Ranking: #2

We're just a few days away from the season finale and there's so many questions that still need answered. Last week's episode confirmed one fan theory (that Bernard was based on Ford's deceased partner Arnold) while strongly hinting that the show took place in "multiple timelines". Let's hope that the hottest show on TV can keep its momentum going after this weekend's 90 minute finale, as HBO has hinted that the show might not return until 2018.

3) The Flash/Legends of Tomorrow

Last Week's Ranking: #4 (The Flash) and #8 (Legends of Tomorrow)

This week, DC held a four night "Heroes vs. Aliens" crossover loosely based on DC's Invasion! event. It was a success in every sense of the world. Not only did the crossover leave a lasting impression on all four CW/DC shows, it also scored big ratings.

While Arrow used its part of the crossover to look back at Oliver's 100 episodes under the Green Arrow hood, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow was where the bulk of the crossover action happened. As such, we decided to lump both shows together this week.

4) Supergirl

Last Week's Ranking: #5 (up 1 spot)

Although Supergirl was technically part of the "Invasion" crossover, last Monday's mid-season finale technically featured only about 30 seconds or so of interaction with the CW's other superheroes. The rest of the episode focused on Supergirl's other storylines. Not only did Supergirl and the DEO score a big victory over Cadmus, we also saw the show's two big romances (Alex and Maggie and Mon-El and Supergirl) heat up a bit.

Although Supergirl is finished for 2016, she'll have plenty of foes to fight in the winter...including the classic Superman foe Mr. Mxyzptlk.

5) The Walking Dead

Last Week's Ranking: #3 (down 2 spots)

The Walking Dead keeps tumbling down the Power Rankings as it falls to a season low of #5. The main reason Walking Dead keeps dropping is that it's lost a ton of viewers this season, dropping from 17 million during its premiere to 10.4 million last week.

Let's be clear, The Walking Dead is a juggernaut and is still one of the biggest shows on TV. But this season has turned a lot of fans off and it could get upstaged by Westworld or another Sunday night show if it doesn't quickly right the ship.

6) Agents of SHIELD

Last Week's Ranking: #9 (up 3 spots)

Agents of SHIELD is finally back from its extended fall hiatus. While most of the team is still dealing with Ghost Rider and his...unique baggage, Simmons was secreted away to deal with a high-profile Inhuman in the making. With an Inhumans TV show looming next fall, could Simmons be the lead-in between Marvel's current and future TV plans?

7) Gotham

Last Week's Ranking: #7 (no change)

Gotham ended 2016 with a bang...or rather two bangs. After learning that Lee's husband (and Carmine Falcone's son) Mario was infected with Alice's blood, Gordon goes to save his lady love and winds up shooting twice in the chest. Killing a Falcone probably won't end well for Gordon, even if Mario was all but dead anyways. Gordon isn't the only one in trouble: the Riddler is now gunning for Penguin in revenge for the Penguin killing his new girlfriend. It's too bad that Cobblepot is in love with Nygma, or otherwise he'd see how much trouble he's in!
