Davos Defends Jon Snow In New Game Of Thrones Season 6 Clip

Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham was a guest on last night's episode of Conan, and he brought a brand new clip from Season 6 of HBO's fantasy drama with him.

The clip features Cunningham's character, Ser Davos Seaworth, and gives some context to a scene from the Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer. In the trailer, we see Davos standing over Jon Snow's body. He claims he is not a fighter and apologizes to a few men for what they are about to see. The new clip shows that Davos is actually defending Jon's body from Alliser Thorne and the other treacherous black brothers who murdered Jon in the Season 5 finale.

But why are Davos and the Night's Watch fighting over a corpse? This scene could lend some strength to the theory that Melisandre, who is also at the Wall, has plans to resurrect Jon. Thorne likely wants to stop these plans, leading Davos to step in. Add this to the title of the Season 6 premiere episode, "The Red Woman," and the theory begins to come into focus even more.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24.
