Dragon Ball Super Adds Another New Super Saiyan Form for Future Trunks

The newest episode of Dragon Ball Super aired in Japan this week, and it revealed yet another new form of Super Saiyan, or so it appears. What can only be described as Super Saiyan Anger until we know whether or not this is actually a new form, Future Trunks powered up into an altered version of Super Saiyan at the end of the episode, fed up with Goku Black and not taking being blamed for Black's whole plan.

The show has already revealed several versions of Super Saiyan, including the new "God," or Blue form, plus Rose, and now this Anger one.

Exactly how this new form differs is as yet unclear. Trunks has a history of discovering new levels of power, even going Super Saiyan as a very young child - it's said in the lore of Dragon Ball that the half-Saiyan half-Human hybrids like Trunks, Gohan, and Goten may be naturally stronger, and able to find new sources of power, and that seems to be the case. In this form, Future Trunks' muscles started to bulge into over-sized forms, but then became contained. His eyes glow bright white, and blue lightning crackles into his ki aura, alongside the standard flames of a Super Saiyan. His hair crackled as well, before also containing. Overall, we don't know exactly what his power level is just yet, though the shocked look on Vegeta's face (both his father and someone who has seen the strongest there is in this universe) speaks volumes.

We'll find out more about Trunks' new Super form on the next episode of Dragon Ball Super, where he'll take on Goku Black one on one. Check out the gallery below for more shots of Trunks' latest transformation and just how mad he's gotten.
