Final Star Trek Beyond Trailer Released

Paramount Pictures has released the final trailer for Star Trek Beyond.

Star Trek Beyond, the highly anticipated next installment in the globally popular Star Trek franchise, created by Gene Roddenberry and reintroduced by J.J. Abrams in 2009, returns with director Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious franchise) at the helm of this epic voyage of the U.S.S. Enterprise and her intrepid crew. In Beyond, the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

Star Trek Beyond stars Idris Elba, Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Karl Urban

Star Trek Beyond was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from June 2015 through October 2016, with additional filming taking place in Seoul, South Korea and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Earlier today, Paramount official announced a sequel to Star Trek Beyond, the fourth in the reboot series. Star Trek 4 will see the return of Chris Hemsworth as Captain James Kirk's father, George Kirk.

Star Trek Beyond is being released in the year of Star Trek's 50th Anniversary. The anniversary will also see Star Trek: Mission New York take place in New York City this September. CBS also announced that Star Trek will return to television for the first time in more than a decade, with the premiere date set for January 2017.
