First Look At Pinhead From Hellraiser: Judgement

The 10th installment of the Hellraiser series, Hellraiser: Judgement, was expected to come out on March 28, but as that date has come and gone without incident, leaving fans clamoring for the next in the Clive Barker series.

However, when it sees the light of day, fans can expect a revisited version of Pinhead.

Images surfaced on the Russian website KinoVolna showing Paul T. Taylor from, what appears to be, a screen grab of the full film.

Earlier in the year, director Gary Tunnicluffe told the 60 Minutes With podcast that the film is ready to go, whenever Lament Configuration is ready to release it.

"All I can say is, the movie is finished," he said. "It's edited – got sound and music, and it's all done. There's a trailer, which I just saw. There's a poster, which is really f^*king cool. It's utterly brilliant.

"I hope to god they use it. It's not a big Photoshop thing, it's like a Drew Struzan picture. It's lovely. But apparently they did see it and think, 'We may do a limited theatrical on it.' But I don't know. They will release it when they see fit. It could be soon, it could be later. It could be theatrical, it could not be. I'm sure I'll be the last to know."

The released photo shows Pinhead obscured by a soft mist with stronger lighting behind him, and it could be an introduction to the new look going to be used across multiple films.

Taylor told OpenTheTrunk, that this new film reveals a lot that wasn't known before.

"It is a new chapter," he said. "It's an unexplored part of Hell, I would say, introducing some new characters and some new mechanisms behind where Pinhead and all of that comes from.

"It's also a jumping off point for a sequel following this one that could continue the story that it tells because it's a true "Hellraiser" script with a beginning, a middle, and a sort of ambiguous end. And these new characters they introduced could be in future "Hellraiser" films."

The synopsis is as follows:

Hellraiser: Judgment stars Damon Carney, John Gulagher, Diane Goldner, Mike Jay Regan, Andi Powers, Jeff Fenter, Heather Langenkamp, and Paul T. Taylor as Pinhead.

Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world. Could the judgement awaiting the killer's victims also be waiting for Sean?
