First Look At Ryan Gosling In Blade Runner 2049 Trailer

The trailer for the long-awaited Blade Runner sequel has finally dropped, and it's as mysterious and brooding as any fan of the original movie would expect.

While audiences are excited to see Harrison Ford reprise his role as Deckard in Blade Runner 2049, he is a part of a large, and incredibly talented cast. In additon to Ford, Robin Wright, Lennie James, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis, Jared Leto, Ana De Armas, and Barkhad Abdi.

Perhaps the most intriguing casting decision, and the one fans are most excited about, is the decision to nab Ryan Gosling as the film's lead role. The Oscar-nominated actor will play the role of K, a New LAPD officer trying to track down Rick Deckard.

Fans were eager to see how Gosling looked in the role, and the new trailer showed enough of the character to leave everyone wanting more. The footage was only a tease, but it did provide the first real look at Gosling's new take on a Blade Runner.

The actor is shown investigating an array of mysterious structures out in the desert. The landscapes he's exploring are extremely similar to those in last year's hit films Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Once Gosling enters a building, he gets his first round of close-ups. Donning the leather jacket, just like his predecessor, Gosling definitely looks the part of The Blade Runner.
